Running a public demo

To run a "try it" site that anyone can play with, like demo.jotkite.com, install JotKite on its own domain or subdomain and add this to config.php:

• First visit: JotKite creates demo accounts and sample posts.
• One-click sign-in: visitors can sign in as Admin, Editor or Contributor.
• Automatic reset: every 60 minutes, the database and images return to the starting point.
• Locked for visitors: Settings → Code, robots.txt, and the demo accounts' passwords, emails and roles. Public pages are marked noindex and show a "Try the admin" bar.
• Your own starting point: arrange the content you want, then enter your demo_key in Settings → Demo and click Save current content as the starting point.

⚠️ Never turn demo mode on for a real blog.
